Plant Agriculture
Charleen
Farming has been a major business through out the whole world. There are two types of farmings, Intensive and Organic farming. We will be focusing on Intensive farming in this article.

Intensive farming has been known to farmers as the best way to do farming in order to provide food for everyone. Unfortunately, majority of agriculture is intensive farming. Farmers insert chemicals to their crops to produce a lot than usual crops produces, this process increases the farmers profit. The chemicals that usually being used for these crops kills insects, fungus, unwanted plants, and also ones that fertile the soil to Improve the crops physically.

With this in mind, think about the grocery stores, the vegetables and fruits inside. Did they came from an intensive or organic farm?
Intensive farming causes a lot of damages to our lives and the environment, for instance it creates soil erosion. When trees and plant s are cut down or remove from a vast area to begin a farm, the wind sometimes blow the soil away or when it rains soil are washed away especially on the hillside. On the other hand, we are cutting down trees which obliterate our environment. To compare now and the previous years, we have more people being sick and more varieties of deceases . In my opinion, i think that most of these sickness comes from the food that we eat. This might be true, that the chemicals that has been used for the vegetables and fruits are still in them while people are purchasing them. I believe that the reason why intensive farming is being used mostly everywhere, is because of the profits the farmers get out of it.

Some of us fight to do what they think is right, but we never think about the consequences. Today intensive farming is still an active agriculture procedure that many people use. However, we are ruining our environment which we depend on. On top of my head, i think that we need to balance economy and environment in order to prevent conflicts between them, which we can get involve in.

EVALUATION
Buzzle.com, Advantage and disadvantage of intensive farming
The disadvantages of intensive farming has been extremely affecting us by causing illness and cancer through the food we eat. Intensive farming uses chemicals in order to reinforce the process to decrease the amount of products the business is selling, for instance, fruits and vegetables. However, in order to create or expand an area for plant agriculture we must cut down trees, which causes soil erosion and it also destroys the animals habitat.

This source was taken from company websites although it was posted a few years back i think its good. I like how it talks about the chemicals. The author of this article is Maya Pillai. She has written more than ten articles in the buzzle website and her passion is writing. She has given both sides of intensice agriculture both positive and negative. This article was posted on Aug. 19, 2008. the author took her information mostly at the company websites from googling. Many people enjoy her article and it also help them with their assignments from what i read from the comments.

Zimbio.com, Disadvantage of intensive farming
In this article, the author talks about the same thing as Maya Pillai stated in her article. However i think that this author has adequate information about the disadvantage of intensive farming.

People are getting sicker today then before however we hardly think that it's the food that we inject in our body. Most of the foods are grown by the use of chemicals, chemicals to feral the soil, kill the insects, fungus, and unwanted herbs. These chemicals kills the good insects too. Most of the farms use intensive farming. To expand their farm it sometimes lead to soil erosion and also the loss of natural habitat for the animals.

The author of this article is pkmcr. Most of his information is biased. The article is usually based on the negative side of intensive farming. Only a small portion of hisarticle talks about the advantage of intensive farming. This article was created on Nov. 23, 2007. These information was taken form the company websites. I think that his article gives more information about my topic.
